Where Wellness, Equity, and Community Meet.
Wellness is more than access to food, the SproutUp team believes that wellness is rooted in creating the conditions for individuals and families to flourish. Born from a simple desire to respond to food scarcity in South Miami-Dade, our work has evolved into a holistic approach to community wellness, empowerment, and resilience.

Our Areas of Impact
Food Access
Food is a basic need—and a powerful connector. Through weekly distributions across four community sites—HEBC, PAL, HHA-SD, City of Florida City, and HHA-Red—Sprout Up served over 3,700 households in 2024. Each location is a space where families receive fresh food and access additional wellness resources.

Community Gardening
Our newest initiative—launched with support from Formula E and in partnership with Touching Miami With Love—transforms urban spaces into living classrooms. Families learn to grow food using aeroponic and traditional methods, reinforcing skills around self-sufficiency, health, and sustainability.

Holistic Wellness (NEW)
Sprout Up is expanding into new territory to meet the evolving needs of our families. From financial wellness and hygiene equity to yoga, mindfulness, and housing access support, we’re building the foundation for a full-scale community resource hub—designed for long-term wellness, not just temporary relief.

Educaiton & Life Skills
Community knowledge for everyday life. We teach household nutrition, food preparation, and sustainable food practices that families can replicate at home. With ties to STEM and in-school enrichment, this program ensures the lessons learned in our gardens—and kitchens—carry forward for generations.
